SERVICES


RNE: Brazil Alien Identification card is the identity document for alien residents in Brazil in a temporary or permanent character. Provided by the Federal Police the registration visa is indispensable for exercising activities in the country.


CPF/MF: is a taxpayer identification number issued by the Federal Revenue of Brazil and can be required even by those who do not have authorization to reside in the country, but would like to buy property or open a company in Brazil.


CNH: National Driving License is a document issued by the Transport Department that enables foreigners to drive vehicles and is provided for those who have residential status in Brazil, however non residential foreigners are allowed to drive if they are legal in the country, with a valid document from their country of origin, officially translated, and an agreement exists between the two countries.


CTPS: Portfolio of work and welfare provided by the Ministry of labour and employment to foreigners who come to the country under local labour contracts.


CONSTITUTION AND LEGALISATION OF A BUSINESS SOCIETY: Foreigners who come to this country to pursue productive entrepreneurial activities must be part of a business society.


EXTENSION OF TIME LIMITS: Technicians and professionals located in Brazil on a temporary basis may request an extension of their visa, there must be a formal and timely commitment from the employer.


VISA PROCESSING: Foreigners are allowed to request a change of visa status from temporary, official and diplomatic visas to permanent visas through standing criterion of the Ministries of Justice and Labour, this should be done in a timely manner.


CONCURRENCY: Foreigners are allowed, within the criterion of the MTE, to work as a company director in companies of the same corporate group.


CHANGE OF EMPLOYER: A foreigner, who needs to change jobs in Brazil, should request all the necessary amendments regarding the change of employer duly authorized by the Ministry of justice.


CHANGE OF NAME OR NATIONALITY: When the name of the foreigner is incorrect, the alteration may be requested at the Ministry of Justice providing that the documents and facts that caused the error are presented, when the nationality differs from the record, it can be changed by request to the Ministry of justice.
